ipv6 nd ra unicast

Function

The ipv6 nd ra unicast command in the BAS interface view enables the device to send RA packets that carry unicast destination IP addresses in response to IPoEv6 user access requests.

The undo ipv6 nd ra unicast command restores the default configuration.

By default, the destination IP address in an RA packet is a multicast address.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To allow the device to send RA packets that carry unicast destination IP addresses when assigning IPv6 addresses or prefixes to IPoEv6 access users, run the ipv6 nd ra unicast command in the BAS interface view.

Configuration Impact

After the ipv6 nd ra unicast command is run, the device uses the source IP address in a user's ND or DHCPv6 packet as the destination IP address in an RA packet.

Precautions

The ipv6 nd ra unicast command in the BAS interface view applies only to IPoEv6 users.
