Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To configure an IPv4 address for a 6RD BR on the 6RD customer edge (CE) connected to a 6RD domain that interworks with a native IPv6 network, run the border-relay address command. The configured IPv4 address is the source address of the 6RD BR.

Prerequisites

The tunnel encapsulation mode has been set to 6RD using the tunnel-protocol ipv6-ipv4 6rd command.

Precautions

The IPv4 address configured for a 6RD BR cannot be a loopback, broadcast, or multicast address.

Example

# Configure the ipv4 address of the 6RD BR as 10.1.1.1.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] interface tunnel 1
[*HUAWEI-Tunnel1] tunnel-protocol ipv6-ipv4 6rd
[*HUAWEI-Tunnel1] border-relay address 10.1.1.1
