Function

The l3-loop-detect disable command disables Layer 3 loop detection.

The undo l3-loop-detect disable command enables Layer 3 loop detection.

By default, Layer 3 loop detection is enabled.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The Layer 3 loop detection function detects whether a loop exists on a network. If a routing loop is detected, the device generates reports a trap.

If no routing loop alarm is required, run the l3-loop-detect disable command to disable the Layer 3 loop detection function. Then, the system does not perform routing loop detection or send traps. In addition, the system clears the generated traps.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

To ensure network reliability, exercise caution when running the l3-loop-detect disable command.
