Function

The set mac-padding enable command enables global padding for a specified module.

The undo set mac-padding enable command disables global padding for a specified module.

By default, global padding is disabled.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

By default, port padding is enabled for all MAC modules.
If there are a large number of outbound packets containing less than 42 bytes, the highest forwarding performance of some MAC modules can be achieved only when global padding is enabled for the modules.
By default, global padding is disabled.

Configuration Impact

If you modify global padding configurations during traffic forwarding, existing traffic will be interrupted for a short time.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
