mac-user ppp-preferred

Function

The mac-user ppp-preferred command allows a PPP user to preferentially get online when the PPP user and a DHCP user with the same MAC address attempt to get online.

The undo mac-user ppp-preferred command restores the default setting.

By default, neither the DHCP user nor the PPP user can get online preferentially.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When a DHCP user and a PPP user with the same MAC address attempt to get online, only one user can be allocated an IP address. After the mac-user ppp-preferred command is configured, the PPP user preferentially gets online.

Configuration Impact

If a DHCP user is online and a PPP user attempts to get online, the DHCP user is forcibly logged out to release the IP address for the PPP user.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
