md ma

Function

The md ma command specifies the maintenance domain (MD) and maintenance association (MA) for sending NQA test packets.

The undo md command deletes the configured MD.

By default, no MD is configured.

md md-name ma ma-name

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To specify the MD and MA for sending NQA test packets in a MAC ping test instance, run the md ma command. Connectivity faults are confirmed in the MA view.

Before you run the md command, run the fm md md-name <md-name>[ format { no-md-name | dns dns-md-format-name <dns-md-format-name>| mac-address mac-md-format-name <mac-md-format-name>| string string-md-format-name <string-md-format-name>} ] [ level level] to create an MD and run the ma ma-name [ format { icc-based iccbased-ma-format-name <iccbased-ma-format-name>| string ma-format-name <ma-format-name>} ] to create an MA.
