map rule (System view)

Function

The map rule command creates a basic mapping rule (BMR) and displays the BMR view.

The undo map rule command deletes a BMR.

By default, no BMR is created.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

map rule rule-name

undo map rule rule-name

Parameters

Specifies a BMR name.

The value is a string of 1 to 31 characters.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

When the MAP-T or MAP-E function is configured, to set a BMR, run the map rule command. A maximum of 4096 BMRs can be configured on each device.

Precautions

BMRs can be referenced by DHCPv6 address pools, and referenced BMRs cannot be modified.
