The map priority map-t command enables a device to preferentially assign MAP-T prefixes to users.
The undo priority map-t command restores the default configuration.
By default, a device preferentially assigns MAP-E prefixes to users.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Usage Scenarios
A MAP-E or MAP-T user sends a DHCPv6 Request message carrying a MAP option (option 94 for MAP-E or optional 95 for MAP-T) to request a MAP-E or MAP-T prefix. The NetEngine 8000 F functioning as a DHCPv6 server cannot assign both the MAP-E and MAP-E prefixes to the same user. Upon receipt of requests for both options 94 and 95 of the same user, the device must determine to prioritize the requests. By default, the device preferentially assigns MAP-E prefixes. If the allocation attempt fails, the NetEngine 8000 F assigns MAP-T prefixes to users. To enable the NetEngine 8000 F to preferentially assign MAP-T prefixes to users, run the map priority map-t command.
