map mtu

Function

The map mtu command sets an MTU for IPv6 packets in a MAP instance.

The undo map mtu command restores the default MTU for IPv6 packets in a MAP instance.

The default MTU is 1500 bytes.

The default MTU is 1500 bytes.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

map mtu mtu-value

undo map mtu [ mtu-value ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
mtu-value

Sets the maximum transmission unit of IPv6 packets in a MAP instance.

The value is an integer ranging from 1280 to 9600. The default value is 1500, in bytes.

Usage Guidelines

To set the MTU for IPv6 packets in a MAP-T or MAP-E instance, run the map rule command. To restore the default setting, run the undo map rule command.

Example

# Create a MAP-T instance named test in the system view, access the MAP-T instance view, and set the MTU to 2000 bytes for IPv6 packets.
