mask alarm-name

Function

The mask alarm-name command enables a device to filter out a specific alarm.

The undo mask alarm-name command disables a device from filtering out a specific alarm.

By default, alarms are not masked.

Format

mask alarm-name alarm-name

undo mask alarm-name alarm-name

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
alarm-name alarm-name

Specifies the name of an alarm. This alarm must exist.

The name is a string of 1 to 63 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

When quotation marks are used around the string, spaces are allowed in the string.

Usage Scenario

You can create an alarm filtering table and run the mask alarm-name command to define the alarms that users are not concerned about in this table, preventing these alarms from being reported.

Prerequisites

The alarm filtering table exists.

Configuration Impact

The mask alarm-name command can be repeatedly run to filter out multiple alarms.

# Define an alarm named linkDown in the alarm filtering table named mask1.
