The whitelist session-car pim command sets session CAR parameters for a PIM whitelist.
The undo whitelist session-car pim command restored the default values of session CAR for the PIM whitelist.
By default, the PIM whitelist Session-CAR function is enabled. Different Product may have different default values, subject to the actual product.
Parameter | Description | Value |
---|---|---|
cir cir-value |
Specifies a committed information rate (CIR), that is, the average rate at which packets can be transmitted or forwarded. |
The value ranges from 0 to 1000000, in kbit/s. The default value is 50. |
cbs cbs-value |
Specifies a committed burst size (CBS), that is, the committed volume of burst traffic that can pass instantly. |
The value ranges from 0 to 1000000, in bytes. The default value is 128000. |
pir pir-value |
Specifies a peak information rate (PIR), that is, the peak rate at which packets can be transmitted or forwarded. |
The value ranges from 0 to 1000000, in kbit/s. The default value is 200. |
pbs pbs-value |
Specifies a peak burst size (PBS), that is, the peak volume of burst traffic that can pass instantly. |
The value ranges from 0 to 10000000, in bytes. The default value is 128000. |
Usage Scenario
To adjust the packet channel bandwidth for PIM Session-CAR on a device, run this command. If the device receives a large number of PIM packets, this configuration ensures that the packets can be properly sent.
Implementation Procedure
If a Session-CAR parameter in an PIM whitelist is set to an excessively large or small value, the involved PIM neighbor relationships may be disconnected or flap.
Precautions
In normal cases, you are advised not to change the values of the Session-CAR parameters in an PIM whitelist. Use the default values of these parameters instead.
The PIR must be greater than or equal to the CIR, and the PBS must be greater than or equal to the CBS.
