The micro-isolation protocol-car isis command sets IS-IS micro-isolation CAR parameters.
The undo micro-isolation protocol-car isis command restores the default values of IS-IS micro-isolation CAR parameters.
By default, IS-IS micro-isolation CAR uses the default parameter settings.
Parameter | Description | Value |
---|---|---|
cir cir-value |
Specifies the committed information rate, that is, the average rate at which packets can be transmitted or forwarded. |
The value ranges from 0 to 1000000, in kbit/s. The default value is 8. |
cbs cbs-value |
Specifies the committed burst size, that is, the committed burst traffic that can instantaneously pass through. |
The value ranges from 0 to 1000000, in bytes. The default value is 100000. |
pir pir-value |
Specifies PIR, that is, the highest rate at which packets can be transmitted or forwarded. |
The value ranges from 0 to 1000000, in kbit/s. The default value is 20000. |
pbs pbs-value |
Specifies the peak burst size, that is, the peak burst traffic that can instantaneously pass through. |
The value ranges from 0 to 10000000, in bytes. The default value is 9000000. |
Usage Scenario
When IS-IS packets flood, you can run this command to adjust the interface- and destination MAC address-based packet channel bandwidth in IS-IS micro-isolation CAR to ensure that IS-IS packets can be sent to the CPU.
Precautions
In normal cases, you are not advised to adjust IS-IS micro-isolation CAR parameters. Use the default value for this parameter instead.
The PIR must be greater than or equal to the CIR, and the PBS must be greater than or equal to the CBS.
