mld send-router-alert

Function

The mld send-router-alert command enables an interface to send Multicast Listener Discovery (MLD) messages containing Router-Alert options in IPv6 headers.

The undo mld send-router-alert command disables an interface from sending MLD messages containing Router-Alert options in IPv6 headers.

By default, IPv6 headers of the MLD messages sent by an interface contain Router-Alert options.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The function of this command is the same as that of the send-router-alert command used in the MLD view. The system prefers the configuration in the interface view. The configuration in the MLD view is used only when the configuration in the interface view is not done.

Example

# Disable GE 0/1/0 to send MLD messages containing Router-Alert options in IPv6 headers.
<HUAWEI> system-view
[~HUAWEI] interface GigabitEthernet 0/1/0
[~HUAWEI-GigabitEthernet0/1/0] undo mld send-router-alert
