Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Proxy ND enables IPv6 users on the same BRAS interface to access each other. Users on the same BRAS interface of the device are isolated by VLANs and cannot directly communicate. To enable the users to access each other, you must enable proxy ND on the BAS interface.

Proxy ND can be enabled on only the BAS interface whose access type is set as Layer 2 access.

Proxy ND is always enabled for users on different interfaces and VLANs.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
