option33 route

Function

The option33 route command configures routes from the network segment where an IP address pool resides to the destination network segment.

The undo option33 route command deletes the configured routes.

By default, no routes are configured from the network segment where an IP address pool resides to the destination network segment.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

option33 route dest-ip gateway-ip

undo option33 route dest-ip gateway-ip

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
dest-ip

Destination IP address.

The value is in dotted decimal notation.

gateway-ip

Gateway's IP address.

The value is in dotted decimal notation.

Usage Scenario

The option33 route command allows a user to obtain both an IP address and a route to the destination network segment.

Configuration Impact

Users will send packets along specified routes.

Precautions

This command is supported only on the admin VS.

A maximum of eight routes can be configured from the network segment where an IP address pool resides to the destination network segment.

Example

# Create a static route from the network segment where an address pool named huawei resides to the destination network segment and configure Option 33 to carry the static route.
