mpls te p2mp-mode

Function

The mpls te p2mp-mode command enables P2MP RSVP-TE and switches the tunnel from the default P2P mode to the P2MP mode.

The undo mpls te p2mp-mode command restores the TE tunnel to the P2P TE mode.

By default, the MPLS TE tunnel mode is the P2P TE.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

The interface tunnel command configures an MPLS TE tunnel in the default P2P mode. The mpls te p2mp-mode command switches the P2P TE tunnel to P2MP TE tunnel. After the switching is completed, leaf nodes can be created on the P2MP TE tunnel.

Prerequisites

1.Create a tunnel using the interface tunnel command.

2.The tunnel has been specified as an MPLS TE tunnel using the tunnel-protocol mpls te command.

3.MPLS P2MP TE has been enabled globally using the mpls te p2mp-te command.

Follow-up Procedure

Run the mpls te leaf-list command to create leaf nodes on the P2MP TE tunnel.

Precautions

The undo mpls te p2mp-mode command deletes all configurations about the P2MP TE tunnel.
