reoptimization (MPLS TE P2P template view)

Function

The reoptimization command enables periodic re-optimization for an automatic P2P TE tunnel.

The undo reoptimization command disables periodic re-optimization for an automatic P2P TE tunnel.

By default, re-optimization is disabled.

Format

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
frequency interval

Specifies the interval between periodic re-optimization processes. A CR-LSP is recalculated at a specified interval based on constraints. If a better path to the same destination is calculated, a CR-LSP is re-established over the new path.

The value is an integer ranging from 60 to 604800, in seconds. By default, the interval is 3600 seconds, namely, 1 hour.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

Periodic re-optimization allows an MPLS TE tunnel to be automatically reestablished over a better path. After a better path to the same destination has been calculated for a specific reason, such as a cost change, a TE tunnel will be automatically reestablished, optimizing resources on a network.

Prerequisites

A P2P TE tunnel template has been configured using the mpls te p2p-template command.
