passive-session detect-multiplier

Function

The passive-session detect-multiplier command changes the detection multiplier of a passive BFD session.

The undo passive-session detect-multiplier restores the default detection multiplier of a passive BFD session.

By default, the detection multiplier of a passive BFD session is 3.

Format

passive-session detect-multiplier multiplier-value peer peerip-value

undo passive-session detect-multiplier multiplier-value peer peerip-value

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
multiplier-value

Specifies the detection multiplier of a passive BFD session.

The value is an integer ranging from 3 to 50.

peer peerip-value

Specifies the peer IP address bound to a passive BFD session.

The value is in dotted decimal notation.

Usage Scenario

In the case of BFD for MPLS-TE, you can run the passive-session detect-multiplier command to change the detection multiplier of a passive BFD session with the specified peer IP address.

Prerequisites

BFD has been globally enabled using the bfd command in the system view.

Example

# Change the detection multiplier of a passive BFD session with the peer IP address of 10.1.1.1 to 10.
