Function

The phy-number command sets the number of a flexible Ethernet physical interface in a FlexE Group.

Using the undo phy-number command, you can cancel the setting of the phy-number parameter for a physical interface in flexible Ethernet mode.

By default,the phy-number parameter is not set.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F2A.

Format

phy-number phy-number

undo phy-number [ phy-number ]

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
phy-number

Used for packet identification. This parameter must be set to the same value for physical interfaces on the interconnected devices in flexible Ethernet mode.

The value is an integer that ranges from 1 to 254.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To ensure normal communication between the interconnected devices, you need to run the phy-number command on the physical interfaces of the flexible Ethernet modes at both ends to set the same parameters.

Precautions

The phy-number for 50 Gbit/s FlexE physical interfaces ranges from 1 to 126.

# Cancel the phy number configuration of FlexE-50G 0/1/52.

# Set the phy number of FlexE-50G 0/1/52 to 25.
