pppoe-server service-name-parameter

Function

The pppoe-server service-name-parameter command configures a service name for a PPPoE server.

The undo pppoe-server service-name-parameter command deletes a service name of a PPPoE server.

By default, no service name is configured for a PPPoE server in the VT view.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

pppoe-server service-name-parameter service-name-parameter

undo pppoe-server service-name-parameter service-name-parameter

Specifies a service name for a PPPoE server.

The value is a string of 1 to 31 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

A PPPoE client and server negotiate the service name during PPPoE negotiation. PPPoE negotiation is successful only if the client and server have the same service name configured. A PPPoE server can have different service names configured to carry different types of services.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
