Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After the ptp source-switch ptsf enable command is used to enable Packet Timing Signal Fail (PTSF) time source switching, if the current time source is detected with offset hops (over 1.1us within 3 seconds in a row) or Sync packet loss, the device will switch to another available time source. If you want to automatically restore the time source after a certain period of time, run the ptp ptsf auto-recovery-time command to configure the PTSF auto-recovery time. When the conditions for PTSF detection are met, you can configure the PTSF auto-recovery time to restore the time source and then perform detection again.

Prerequisites

The function to enable time source switching upon a time signal failure has been enabled using the ptp source-switch ptsf enable command.

Example

# Set the PTSF auto-recovery time to 5 minutes.
