The qos hard-pipe bandwidth outbound command configures an IP hard-pipe bandwidth.
The undo qos hard-pipe outbound command deletes the IP hard-pipe bandwidth.
By default, no IP hard-pipe bandwidth is configured.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Parameter | Description | Value |

<bandwidth-value> varies with interfaces.

Usage Scenario
During network planning, traffic is classified as hard-pipe traffic and soft-pipe traffic based on interfaces. Hard-pipe traffic must have low delay and no packet loss and not be affected by soft-pipe traffic. Therefore, fixed bandwidth must be allocated to hard-pipe traffic on interfaces. This bandwidth is exclusively available to hard-pipe traffic.
Precautions
If some member interfaces of the Trunk do not support share-mode, or exclusive-mode, this command cannot be configured on the Trunk interface.
If an interface is bound to a VSI instance and VPLS hard pipe is enabled for the VSI instance using the hard-pipe enable command, the qos hard-pipe bandwidth command cannot be configured on the interface. If both qos hard-pipe share-mode bandwidth, qos car, and car (traffic behavior view) are configured, the qos hard-pipe share-mode bandwidth command configuration overrides the car configuration. Hard pipes work in exclusive mode, which prevents soft pipe service traffic from using the exclusive port. This ensures the desired bandwidth and latency for hard pipe services. When the public-network interface of the TE LSP for the IP hard pipe is an inter-subcard trunk interface, each subcard applies for an IP hard pipe bandwidth, causing the IP hard pipe bandwidth consumption to multiply.
