By default, cached accounting packets are deleted after the number of retransmissions reaches the specified upper limit.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Usage Scenario
After the function to cache accounting packets is enable on a device, if the device is disconnected from the RADIUS server during the user login process, accounting packets are cached. By default, cached accounting packets are deleted after the number of retransmissions reaches the specified upper limit. To disable the device from deleting cached accounting packets after the number of retransmissions reaches the specified upper limit, run the radius-server cache keep packet command.
Prerequisites
The function to cache accounting packets has been enabled.
Precautions
In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
After this command is run, the packets that are being retransmitted exceed the maximum number of retransmission times and are stored in the accounting cache. In addition, other packets in the accounting buffer are not sent. After the RADIUS server recovers, run the radius-server cache resend packet command to send the packets whose number of retransmission times exceeds the maximum. Then, other packets in the accounting cache can be retransmitted.
