The radius-server nas-ip-address lns command enables an LNS or LTS to encapsulate the remote IP address into the NAS-Ip-Address attribute of a RADIUS packet.
The undo radius-server nas-ip-address lns command restores the default configuration.
By default, an LNS or LTS does not encapsulate the remote IP address into the NAS-Ip-Address attribute of a RADIUS packet.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
Usage Scenario
In the scenario where an LNS or LTS associates with multiple LACs, the LNS or LTS needs to identify the LAC to which a user is connected when sending an authentication packet to the RADIUS server. To enable an LNS or LTS to encapsulate the remote IP address into the NAS-Ip-Address attribute of an authentication packet to be sent to the RADIUS server, run the radius-server nas-ip-address lns command. If both the radius-server nas-ip-address and radius-server nas-ip-address lns remote-ip commands are run in the RADIUS server group view, the radius-server nas-ip-address lns remote-ip command takes effect.
