rate-limit-mode outbound

Function

The rate-limit-mode outbound command configures a QoS rate limit mode for downstream DAA services when a board has an eTM subcard installed.

The undo rate-limit-mode outbound command restores the default configuration.

By default, the car mode is applied to downstream DAA services when a board has a non-eTM subcard installed. The user-queue mode is applied to downstream DAA services when a board has an eTM subcard installed.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

After CAR is performed on a DAA service flow, packets in the DAA service flow are re-marked with different priorities and are scheduled into SQs. To meet this requirement, install an enhanced TM subcard on a specified board and run the rate-limit-mode car outbound command to configure the car mode for downstream DAA services.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command applies only to the admin VS.
