release-agent(DHCP group view)

Function

The release-agent command enables the system to send DHCPv4 Release messages.

The undo release-agent command disables the function.

By default, the system is enabled to send DHCPv4 Release messages.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Scenario

If the device detects through ARP that a user is not online, it automatically sends the DHCPv4 Release message to the DHCPv4 server.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

# Disable the DHCPv4 server group remote to send DHCPv4 Release messages.
