Function

The security-key cipher command configures a Qx encryption password.

The undo security-key command restores the default Qx encryption password.

By default, the Qx encryption password is OSPV1R10.

Format

security-key cipher cipher-value

undo security-key

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
cipher cipher-value

Specifies a Qx encryption password in ciphertext.

  • If the password is input in ciphertext, the value is a string of 48 or 128 consecutive characters.
  • If the password is input in simple text, the value is a string of 8 case-sensitive characters, spaces not supported.

A password is input in simple text or ciphertext but stored in ciphertext in the configuration file.

Usage Scenario

To improve system security after Qx is configured, you can run the security-key command to configure a Qx encryption password.

Prerequisites

Run the set compatible mode command to enable the DCN compatible mode

Precautions

This command is supported only on the admin VS.

The Qx encryption passwords on the NMS and the device must be the same.

Example

# Set the Qx encryption password to OSPV1R99.
