shaping (sub-interface queue view)

Function

The shaping command sets the traffic shaping value for sub-interface queues.

The undo shaping command restores the default traffic shaping value for sub-interface queues.

By default, traffic shaping is not configured for a GQ.

Format

shaping shaping-value [ pbs pbs-value ] outbound

undo shaping outbound

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
shaping-value

Specifies the PIR.

The value is an integer ranging from 66 to 4294967294, in kbit/s.

pbs pbs-value

Specifies the volume of the allowed peak traffic on an interface after traffic shaping is configured on the interface. The value is equal to the PBS.

The value is an integer ranging from 64 to 2097152, in bytes.

outbound

Indicates sub-interface queues for outgoing traffic.

Precautions

If the PBS is smaller than the MTU or the actual packet length, packet loss occurs.
