Function

The single-nexthop bgp fast-refresh enable command enables fast refreshing of routes with single next hops.

The undo single-nexthop bgp fast-refresh enable command disables fast refreshing of routes with single next hops.

By default, fast refreshing of routes with single next hops is enabled.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

In a scenario of routes with single next hops, a link switchover takes a long time due to slow route convergence. You can run this command to configure fast refreshing of routes with single next hops to speed up route convergence and reduce packet loss.

Precautions

After fast refreshing of routes with single next hops is enabled, the forwarding performance of the device falls by 15%.

Fast refreshing of routes with single next hops does not apply to TE tunnel, LDP over TE, or QinQ scenarios.

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
