Function

The traffic-policy match-protocol-type mc-reserved command configures an interface to match Layer 3 protocol packets with reserved multicast addresses against ACLs.

The undo traffic-policy match-protocol-type mc-reserved command disables an interface from matching Layer 3 protocol packets with reserved multicast addresses against ACLs.

By default, an interface is disabled from matching Layer 3 protocol packets with reserved multicast addresses against ACLs.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

To enable an interface to match Layer 3 protocol packets with reserved multicast addresses against ACLs, run the traffic-policy match-protocol-type mc-reserved command. Layer 3 protocol packets with reserved multicast addresses refer to NTP and IGMP packets with the addresses ranging from 224.0.0.1 to 239.255.255.255 and other protocol packets with the addresses ranging from 224.0.0.1 to 224.0.1.255.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command applies only to the admin VSand cannot be configured in other VSs. This command takes effect on all VSs.
