trust 8021p-protocol

Function

The trust 8021p-protocol command sets a BAS interface to trust the 802.1p priority of VLAN packets.

The undo trust 8021p-protocol command sets a BAS interface not to trust the 802.1p priority of VLAN packets.

By default, a BAS interface not to trust the 802.1p priority of VLAN packets.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

If a QoS policy needs to be applied to VLAN packets that are delivered from the user side, the trust 8021p-protocol command can be used to encapsulate the PPPOE packets or IPOE packets carrying the 802.1p priority of VLAN packets.

Prerequisites

A BAS interface from which Layer 2 common users get online has been configured.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.

# Configure the BAS interface GE 0/1/9.1 from which Layer 2 common users get online to trust the 802.1p priority in VLAN packets.
