tunnel retransmit

Function

The tunnel retransmit command sets the number of L2TP retransmissions. The retransmission interval is two times the interval of last retransmission.

The undo tunnel retransmit command resets the number of L2TP packet retransmissions.

By default, the number of L2TP packet retransmissions is 5.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Usage Guidelines

After the device sends the L2TP packet to the peer through an L2TP tunnel, if no response is received within a certain time (configured through the tunnel timeout command), it resends the packet.

If no response is received after the number of L2TP retransmissions exceeds the value of times set in this command, the device considers that the L2TP tunnel has been broken abnormally, and clears this tunnel.

Example

# Set the number of packet retransmissions to 3 for the L2TP group huawei.
