The tunnel timeout command sets a timeout period for L2TP packet retransmission.
The undo tunnel timeout command resets the timeout period for L2TP packet retransmission to the default value.
By default, the timeout period for L2TP packet retransmission is 2 seconds.
This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.
After the device sends an L2TP packet to the peer through an L2TP tunnel, if no response is received within the time-out period, the device retransmits the packet.
If a large number of L2TP tunnels are established, it is recommended that the timeout period for L2TP packet retransmission be set to 5 seconds.
