web-auth-server packet

Function

The web-auth-server packet command sets the DSCP value for Portal packets sent by the device to a Portal server.

The undo web-auth-server packet command restores the default DSCP value for Portal packets sent by the device to a Portal server.

By default, the device is not enabled to listen for any Portal packets received from the web authentication server.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

web-auth-server packet dscp dscp-value

undo web-auth-server packet dscp dscp-value

Parameters

Specifies the DSCP value for Portal packet.

The value is an integer ranging from 0 to 63.

Usage Scenario

The web-auth-server packet command can be used in increase the DSCP value for Portal packets sent by the device to a Portal server, preventing Portal packet loss caused by network congestion.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
