Function

The debugging dhcp client command enables the debugging of the DHCP client module.

The undo debugging dhcp client command disables the debugging of the DHCP client module.

By default, the function is disabled.

This command is supported only on the NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Format

debugging dhcp client { event | message | packet | all }

undo debugging dhcp client { event | message | packet | all }

Parameters

Parameter Description Value
event

Indicates that the debugging information level is event. Event information is displayed.

message

Indicates that the debugging information level is message. Message information is displayed.

packet

Indicates that the debugging information level is packet. Packet information is displayed.

all

Indicates that the debugging information level is all. All levels of debugging information is displayed.

Usage Guidelines

Usage Scenario

This command enables the debugging of the DHCP client module. When a device acts as a DHCP client and obtains address information from a remote address pool using PPPoE, this function outputs interaction information between the DHCP client and remote server for later reference.

Precautions

In VS mode, this command is supported only by the admin VS.
