1. Run the display interface command in the user view to check whether the current Rx power of the interface is within the scope.

• If so, go to Step 6.
• If not, go to Step 2.

2. Check whether the peer port is down.

• If yes, go to Step 4.
• If no, go to Step 3.

3. Restore the peer port to down.

• If the fault is rectified, go to Step 7.
• If the fault persists, go to Step 4.

4. Check whether the optical fiber is faulty. Replace the optical fiber.

• If the fault is rectified, go to Step 7.
• If the fault persists, go to Step 5.

5. Check whether an alarm is generated on the local interface. Replace the optical module to rectify the fault.

• If the fault is rectified, go to Step 7.
• If the fault persists, go to Step 6.

6. Collect trap, log, and configuration information and contact Huawei technical support.
