Procedure

Cause 1: A unit on the subcard was faulty.

  • If the board where the faulty subcard resides does not support flexible cards, do as follows:

1. Run the power off slot slot-id command to power off the board, and then run the power on slot slot-id command to power on the board. Then, run the display device command to check whether the board has registered, that is, whether the Register field is displayed as Registered.

  • If the field is not displayed as Registered, go to Step 3.

2. Check whether this log is displayed, in which the value of status change is ""is normal"".

  • If the log is generated, go to Step 5.
  • If the log is not generated, go to Step 4.

3. Replace the board and then check whether this log is displayed, in which the value of status change is ""is normal"".

  • If the log is generated, go to Step 5.
  • If the log is not generated, go to Step 4.

4. Collect the alarm information, log information, and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

5. End.

  • If the board where the faulty subcard resides supports flexible cards, do as follows:

1. If the motherboard where the faulty subcard resides starts to reset, wait until the motherboard successfully resets, and no action is required. If the motherboard does not reset, go to Step 2.

2. Run the power off slot slot-id card card-id command to power off the faulty subcard, and run the power on slot slot-id card card-id command to power on the faulty subcard. Then, run the display device [ pic-status | slot-id ] command to check whether the subcard has registered, that is, whether the Register field is displayed as Registered.

  • If the field is displayed as Registered, go to Step 3.
  • If the field is not displayed as Registered, go to Step 4.

3. Check whether this log is displayed, in which the value of status change is ""is normal"".

  • If the log is generated, go to Step 6.
  • If the log is not generated, go to Step 5.

4. Replace the subcard and then check whether this log is generated, in which the value of status change is ""is normal"".

  • If the log is generated, go to Step 7.
  • If the log is not generated, go to Step 5.

5. If the motherboard has only one subcard, run the power off slot slot-id command to power off the motherboard, and then run the power on slot slot-id command to power on the motherboard. Then, run the display device command to check whether the motherboard has registered, that is, whether the Register field is displayed as Registered.

  • If the field is displayed as Registered, go to Step 7.
  • If the field is not displayed as Registered, go to Step 6.
  • If the motherboard has more than one subcard, go to Step 6.
