EFM/3/DYINGGASP: Remote DyingGasp Event occurred. (IfIndex=[IfIndex], RemoteMacAddress=[RemoteMacAddress], IfName=[IfName])

Description

An unrecoverable event occurs, for example, the system or a board restarts, or the device is powered off.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

IfIndex

Interface index of the peer device received by the local device

RemoteMacAddress

MAC address of the remote device

IfName

Interface name of the peer device received by the local device

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The remote device restarts.

Cause 2: The board on the remote device restarts.

Cause 3: The remote device is powered off.

Procedure

1. After the remote device or the board on the remote device restarts, run the display efm session command to check the EFM status.

  • If yes, go to Step 3.
  • If no, go to Step 2.

2. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.

3. End.
