Description

The event that the number of errored frames, errored frame seconds, or errored codes exceeded the threshold occurred in the EFM module.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

InterfaceName

Interface name

EventTimeStamp

Time when the event is generated

EventType

Event type:

  • Errored Frame
  • Errored Frame Second
  • Errored Code

Location

Location (local end or peer end) of the event

Window

Statistics interval

Threshold

Statistics threshold

Errors

Number of errors occurring within a statistics interval

ErrorRunningTotal

Total number of errors counted after the EFM module reset

EventRunningTotal

Total number of events counted after the EFM module reset

Possible Causes

The function of generating events for errored frames, errored frame seconds, and errored codes was enabled, and the number of errored frames, errored frame seconds, or errored codes reached or exceeded the set threshold within the set interval.

Procedure

1. Run the display efm command to check whether the threshold for the number of errored frames, errored frame seconds, or errored codes is set to 0.

  • If the threshold is 0, set the threshold to a non-zero value, and then go to Step 4.
  • If the threshold is non-zero, go to Step 2.

2. Check whether the link is Down.

  • If the link is Down, repair the link, and then go to Step 4.
  • If the link is Up, go to Step 3.

3. Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
