LSPM/6/RCV_ERR_STATISTIC

Message

LSPM/6/RCV_ERR_STATISTIC: Statistics about error packets. (MessageType=[MsgType], ErrorType=[ErrType], ErrorPacketCount=[ErrPktCnt], IncomingInterfaceName=[IfName])

Description

Statistics about incorrect protocol packets were collected.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

MsgType

Message type, refer to relevant standards. It is valid when the Error type is 2-Decode fail, otherwise equal 0.

ErrType

Error type:

  • 1: The label carried in the received packets does not match the local label.
  • 2: The protocol packet is incorrectly decoded.
  • 3: Verification fails.
  • 4: Authentication fails.

ErrPktCnt

Number of incorrect messages

IfName

Inbound interface name

Possible Causes

Cause 1: The label carried in the received message does not match the local label for the LSP.

Cause 2: The message is incorrectly decoded.

Cause 3: Verification fails.

Cause 4: Authentication fails.

Procedure

1. Rectify the fault as follows:

  • If the label in the message and the local label do not match, no action is required because the system will rectify the fault automatically.
  • If the message is incorrectly decoded, ensure that the fault tolerance mechanism works, and check whether a trap named mplsTunnelDown is displayed on the NMS:
  • If mplsTunnelDown is displayed, a software error occurs. In this case, go to Step 2.
  • If mplsTunnelDown is not displayed, the fault tolerance mechanism works properly, and no action is required.
  • If verification fails, check statistics as follows:
  • If statistical numbers are small, for example, 0 or 1, services are not affected and no action is required.
  • If statistical numbers are large or the same log is repeatedly displayed, a software error occurs, and go to Step 2.
  • If authentication fails, run the display this command in the interface view to check whether the RSVP authentication configuration on the local interface matches that on the peer interface.
  • If they do not match, modify the parameters to ensure that RSVP authentication configurations on both ends of a tunnel match.
  • If they match, a software error occurs. In this case, go to Step 2.

2. Collect the trap information, log information, and configuration of the router, and Collect log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel..

3. End.
