NQA/4/TEST_FAILED

Message

NQA/4/TEST_FAILED: NQA entry test failed. (OwnerIndex=[OwnerIndex], TestName=[TestName], TargetAddressType=[TargetAddressType], TargetAddress=[TargetAddress], OperStatus=[OperStatus], Index=[Index], HopIndex=[HopIndex], AddressType=[AddressType], Address=[Address], CompletionTimeMin=[CompletionTimeMin], CompletionTimeMax=[CompletionTimeMax], SumCompletionTime=[SumCompletionTime], ProbeResponses=[ProbeResponses], SentProbes=[SentProbes], SumCompletionTime2Low=[SumCompletionTime2Low], SumCompletionTime2High=[SumCompletionTime2High], LastGoodProbe=[LastGoodProbe], LastGoodPath=[LastGoodPath])

Description

The number of continuous NQA test failures reached the threshold. The default threshold is 1, indicating that each time an NQA test fails, the log message is displayed. The test-failtimes command could modify the threshold.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

OwnerIndex

Indicates the administrator of an NQA test instance.

TestName

Indicates the name of an NQA test instance.

TargetAddressType

Indicates the type of the destination address.

TargetAddress

Indicates the destination address.

OperStatus

Indicates the status of an NQA test instance.

Index

Indicates the index of the result table.

HopIndex

Indicates the hop index.

AddressType

Indicates the type of the source address.

Address

Indicates the source address.

CompletionTimeMin

Indicates the minimum RTT.

CompletionTimeMax

Indicates the maximum RTT.

SumCompletionTime

Indicates the RTT sum.

ProbeResponses

Indicates the total number of received packets.

SentProbes

Indicates the total number of sent packets.

SumCompletionTime2Low

Indicates the lower 32 bits of the RTT square sum.

SumCompletionTime2High

Indicates the higher 32 bits of the RTT square sum.

LastGoodProbe

Indicates the last time when the probe packet is responded.

LastGoodPath

Indicates the last time when the complete path is obtained.

Possible Causes

  • Cause 1: The destination address does not exist and the route is unreachable.
  • Cause 2: The destination address exists, but the route is unreachable.
  • Cause 3: The network delay is great, causing the RTT of the packet to be longer than the set timeout period.

Procedure

1. Run the display this command in the NQA test view to check whether the destination address is correctly configured.

  • If the parameters are correctly configured, go to Step 2.
  • If the destination address is incorrect, run the destination-address command in the NQA test view to change the destination address.Restart the test instance to check whether the test is successful.
  • If yes, go to Step 5.
  • If not, go to step 2.

2. Run the ping command in the NQA test instance view to check whether the route is reachable.

  • If the route is reachable, go to Step 3.
  • If the route is unreachable, run the display ip routing-table command to check the routing table and rectify the route fault.Restart the test instance to check whether the test is successful.
  • If yes, go to Step 5.
  • If not, go to Step 3.

3. Run the timeout command in the NQA test instance view to change the timeout period based on network conditions. You are advised to set the timeout period to the default value, 3 seconds. The value ranges from 1 to 60 seconds. (You can run the display this command in the NQA test instance view to view the current timeout period.)Restart the test instance to check whether the test is successful.

  • If yes, go to Step 5.
  • If not, go to Step 4.

4. Collect log and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.

5. End
