Description

Physical entity failed.

Parameters

Possible Causes

The optical transceiver of the PIC card was found abnormal.

Procedure

1. Replace the optical fiber, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

If so, go to Step 7.
If not, go to Step 2.

2. Check whether any alarm is generated on the peer interface.

If so, go to Step 3.
If not, go to Step 4.

3. Replace the optical transceiver of the peer interface, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

If so, go to Step 7.
If not, go to Step 4.

4. Check whether any alarm is generated on the local interface.

If so, go to Step 5.
If not, go to Step 7.

5. Replace the optical transceiver of the local interface, and then check whether the alarm is cleared.

If so, go to Step 7.
If not, go to Step 6.

6. Collect trap, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support.

7. End.
