When a routing loop occurs, a large number of TTL timeout packets are generated on the network. If the number of TTL timeout packets sent to the CPU is greater than or equal to 6000 within 1 minute, a 1-minute timer is started for sampling and analysis. If the number of packets reaches 1024 or the number of packets exceeds 100 when the timer expires, the destination IP addresses of top 5 packets are tracerted one by one. If a routing loop exists, an alarm is generated.
1.Run the tracert command to trace destination IP address of the route displayed in the alarm. Check whether a loop exists on the link.
2.Collect the alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support personnel.
3.End.
