SYSTEM/2/hwPatchInstallFail_active: Patch operation failed. (SlotIndex=[SlotIndex], PatchIndex=[PatchIndex], PackageName=[PackageName], PackageVersion=[PackageVersion], FailReason=[FailReason], PhysicalName=[PhysicalName].)

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

The patch package fails to be installed.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

SlotIndex

Index of the board where the patch file is located. If it is set to 128, the device reports only one alarm.

PatchIndex

Index of the patch file.

PackageName

Patch file name.

PackageVersion

Patch file version.

FailReason

Cause of the patch installation failure.

PhysicalName

Name of the entity where the patch file is located. When the value of SlotIndex is 128, PhysicalName indicates the system control board, which reports alarms on behalf of the device.

Possible Causes

  • Cause 1: Failed to read the configuration information of the patch package
  • Cause 2: The cause value was not used
  • Cause 3: The memory space of the memory was not enough
  • Cause 4: The patch conflicted with the previous one
  • Cause 5: The patch package version was incorrect
  • Cause 8: Failed to synchronize the patch package file because of insufficient disk space
  • Cause 9: The patch configuration is inconsistent

Procedure

  • Cause 1: Failed to read the configuration information of the patch package

    1. Reinstall the patch package. After the patch is installed, run the display patch-information command to check the status of the patch package.

    • If the patch package status is run, the patch package is successfully installed and the alarm fault is rectified.
    • If the patch package status is not run, go to step 2.

    2. Collect log files and contact technical support engineers.

  • Cause 2: The cause value was not used

    Collect log files and contact technical support engineers.

  • Cause 3: The memory space of the memory was not enough

    Collect log files and contact technical support engineers.

  • Cause 4: The patch conflicted with the previous one

    Collect log files and contact technical support engineers.

  • Cause 5: The patch package version was incorrect

    Collect log files and contact technical support engineers.

  • Cause 8: Failed to synchronize the patch package file because of insufficient disk space

    Clear the space of the standby control board, re-install the patch package, and then restart the standby control board.

  • Cause 9: The patch configuration is inconsistent

    Collect log files and contact technical support engineers.
