Message

BRASRDS/4/hwRadiusServerGroupDown_active: All the configured authentication or accounting servers in the RADIUS server group are down. (GroupName=[GroupName],ServerType=[ServerType])

In VS mode, this log is supported only by the admin VS.

Description

Communication of all authentication or accounting servers in the RADIUS server group is interrupted.

Parameters

Parameter Name Parameter Meaning

GroupName

Radius server group name

ServerType

Indicates the RADIUS server type

Possible Causes

  • Cause 1: The route between the device and the configed RADIUS server was unreachable or the RADIUS server did not respond to the request of the device within the timeout period
  • Cause 2:

    Delete servers in the RADIUS server group.

    • After the servers are deleted, the communication of all the authentication or accounting servers is interrupted, and an alarm is triggered.
    • After the servers are deleted, no authentication or accounting server exists in the RADIUS server group, and an alarm is triggered.

Procedure

  • Cause 1: The route between the device and the configed RADIUS server was unreachable or the RADIUS server did not respond to the request of the device within the timeout period

    1. Run the ping command to check whether the RADIUS server is reachable.

    • If yes, go to step 3.
    • If no, go to step 2.

    2. Run the display interface command to check whether the interface is Up.

    • If yes, go to step 3.
    • If no, check the physical link connection and ensure that the physical link is normal.

    3. Run the display current-configuration command to check whether the RADIUS server configuration is correct.

    • If yes, go to step 4.
    • If no, modify the RADIUS server configuration. For details, see Configuration Guide - User Access.

    4. Collect alarm, log, and configuration information, and contact technical support engineers.

  • Cause 2:

    Delete servers in the RADIUS server group.

    • After the servers are deleted, the communication of all the authentication or accounting servers is interrupted, and an alarm is triggered.
    • After the servers are deleted, no authentication or accounting server exists in the RADIUS server group, and an alarm is triggered.
    • See Recovery Suggestion for cause 1.
    • Configure a normal RADIUS server in the RADIUS server group.
