QOS/2/hwXQoSHardPipeApplyFailAlarm_active: The hard pipe configured on the interface [interface-name] does not take effect.

This log is supported only on NetEngine 8000 F1A.

Description

The IP hard pipe configured on an interface did not take effect.

Parameters

interface-name	Hardpipe interface name.

Possible Causes

The bandwidth of the IP hard pipe exceeded the value obtained by subtracting 20 Mbit/s from the smaller value of the interface bandwidth and port shaping value. For example, assume that the interface bandwidth is 1 Gbit/s, and the port shaping value is 900 Mbit/s. The value obtained by subtracting 20 Mbit/s from the smaller value of the interface bandwidth and port shaping value is 880 Mbit/s. If the bandwidth of the IP hard pipe exceeded 880 Mbit/s, an alarm is generated, and the IP hard pipe does not take effect.

Procedure

1. Decrease the bandwidth of the IP hard pipe to be smaller than the value obtained by subtracting 20 Mbit/s from the smaller value of the interface bandwidth and port shaping value.

If the alarm is not cleared, go to Step 2.
If the alarm is cleared,go to Step 3.

2. Collect alarm information, log information and configuration information, and then contact technical support personnel.
