Defining a QoS Profile

A QoS profile is a collection of QoS scheduling parameters. You can configure scheduling parameters for user queues in a QoS profile.

Context

A user queue profile, FQ profile, or GQ profile can be bound to a QoS profile. The following uses a user queue profile as an example to describe how to bind a configured user queue profile to a QoS profile in enhanced 8-CoS mode.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run qos-profile profile-name [ 8cos-enhance-mode ]

A QoS profile in enhanced 8-CoS mode is created.

  3. Run user-queue user-queue-name [ flow-queue flow-queue-name ] [ user-group-queue user-group-name ] [ inbound | outbound ]

A user queue or GQ profile is bound to the QoS profile in enhanced 8-CoS mode so that the QoS profile can be applied to an interface for QoS processing of service packets.

  4. Run commit

    The configuration is committed.
