Configuring Intelligent Monitoring

Intelligent monitoring identifies device exceptions and predicts resource trends.

Context

When a device is deployed at the aggregation or core layer of a carrier network, it plays an important role and transmits a large number of services. Once an exception occurs on the device, services will be severely affected. The intelligent exception identification function promptly perceives and detects exceptions for fault locating. The intelligent resource trend prediction function predicts network resource trends for network resource allocation.

Intelligent monitoring is implemented based on the telemetry function. Telemetry, which is not enabled by default on devices, is controlled using licenses. To enable telemetry on a device, apply for and purchase a license from Huawei.

Procedure

Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
Run eai
The EAI view is displayed.
Run any of the following commands as required:
- Run the intelligent-anomaly-identify enable command to enable exception identification.
- Run the intelligent-resource-prediction enable command to enable the intelligent resource trend prediction function.
Run commit
The configuration is committed.
