Loop Detection Packet Format
Figure 1 shows the loop detection packet format.
The meanings of the fields are as follows:
- Destination MAC Address: destination MAC address
- Source MAC Address: source MAC address
- EthType: Ethernet type
- VLAN Info: VLAN information
- System MAC Address: system MAC address
- FID: FID of a VLAN or VSI
- Magicnum: index of an AC interface
- Timestamp: timestamp for sending loop detection packets
- Vrid: ID of a virtual router
- Domain Type: domain type
- Inst-id: ID of an instance
A loop detection packet carries at most two VLAN tags (for example, in a QinQ VLAN tag termination scenario).
