(Optional) Setting a Hold Timer for Entries in the SA Cache

The NetEngine 8000 F supports hold timer adjustment for the (S, G) entries in the SA cache.

Context

You can adjust the hold timer for the (S, G) entries in the SA cache on the NetEngine 8000 F. After the hold timer is adjusted, the device applies the new timer to the (S, G) entries corresponding to newly received SA messages.

Procedure

Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
Run multicast routing-enable
Multicast routing is enabled.
Run msdp [ vpn-instance vpn-instance-name ]
The MSDP view is displayed.
Run sa-cache-holdtime holdtime
A hold timer is configured for the entries in the SA cache.
Run commit
The configuration is committed.
